And getting here is even easier with trains and buses doing daily runs to a number of drop off points for your convenience, though the most popular means of travel is with your own car so that you can set your own itinerary and experience this breathtaking destination in your own time and at your own pace. Located just one hour west of Sydney, if you are flying into Sydney you can catch the airport train service directly out to the Blue Mountains, making regular stops at varying points throughout the city if you wish to see parts of Sydney before heading to the mountains. There are also daily buses that make their way out to the mountains for your easy access to the area that generally leave from circular quay in Sydney at different times throughout the day. If travelling via train you can be dropped off at Blaxland, Springwood, Leura or Katoomba railway stations where by your chosen accommodation may offer a courtesy pick up for your convenience.
